Ruth de Krivoy founded Sintesis Financiera over 40 years ago to provide public policy analysis, macroeconomic projections, country-risk analysis, and the evaluation of the financial systems for domestic and international clients with interests in the Venezuelan market.

Renowned for our objectivity and fiercely guarded editorial independence, Sintesis Financiera has since grown into the nation’s leading macroeconomic consultancy, distinguished by a formidable team of subject matter experts who possess deep insight into the many nuances that have come to characterize Venezuela’s economic, financial, and policy landscape.

An absence of reliable market data and a less-than-clear regulatory picture are among the many obstacles corporations, financial institutions, investors, and entrepreneurs face when they seek growth opportunities in Venezuela. Our presence in Caracas allows us to observe the consequences of significant macroeconomic and policy developments as they unfold, enabling Sintesis Financiera to infuse our work with a level of context that’s only achievable from an on-the-ground perspective. Leveraging a scenario methodology that seamlessly integrates the political situation with plausible policy options, we’re able to develop high-accurate forecasts for the true drivers of the nation’s economy, including inflation, the exchange rate, and the purchasing power of the dollar, while effectively demonstrating how government actions can drastically change business realities in Venezuela.

The value of this independent and balanced approach lies in our ability to yield a comprehensive risk assessment that places the politics and economics of Venezuela within the broader global context.
